Thanks chaps

Time for another small update. Not having a laser to play with is making me think of different ways of making things (old school

) which isn't a bad thing as you get out of practice after a while.
I thought I would look at something simple and have made a start on the lighthouse top for the neff docking station. The brick structure I've had for a while (it's a tester for a barrack block) and looking at some Victorian lighthouses it is in the right sort of style.
The 'deck' is just simple tread plate with microstrip edging. The walls of the lantern room are clapboard styrene with microstrip glued top and bottom, there are eight that are stuck around an octagonal template (my old trig and geometry lessons helped with this). Micro rod was placed in the joins.
The clear supports on the inside are from some bits I've had for many years but never found a suitable use for until now and the half roof is again from a really old uni project that never got off the ground, I'll have to cast it as I've only got the one half.

Undecided as to colours yet and the light mounting but there will be standard railings around the edge. I might not be able to put a motor in to power the light mirrors but there will be an led in there with probably static mirrors.
Again this is the product of several nights here and there but I'm getting more and more able as time goes on

cheers
James
