Metro 2033 minis?
« on: 22 August 2010, 06:25:19 PM »
Half a year ago i bought the game metro 2033 and i must have played it twenty times through, so i got to thinking that it would be fun to paint some of the characters like the communist soldiers or the rangers and even to play a game with them, so my question is does anyone know where to find thes miniatures or if there are any?

Some nice proxies out there:

Black cat bases have a few gasmasked 'rangers' released at salute this year
Ratnik (russian company) have a large ranger of metro/S.T.A.L.K.E.R. inspired troopers that are bloody lovely. Maxmini have a range of resin gasmasked heads that fit perfectly to many figures including GW cadians, (who'd have thought eh? ;).

On the subject of cadians, the vox caster helmets will make great ranger proxies, at some of the maxmini modern resin weapons and you're good to go.

Pig iron ferrals with head swops (maxmini and westwins SoTR russian) make for nice inspired figures too.

And the usual E4M/copplestone future wars figures should help you flesh out the rest of your needs.

Hope this helps.
