WOW! New giant Chimera from Maelstrom!
« on: December 16, 2010, 12:46:14 PM »

I don't really have much to say other than WOW.  It's huge - bigger than a lot of dragons on the market, and the price reflects that (100 Pounds!), but I think it's probably worth it.

Man... this'd be a cool centerpiece for any sort of Mythology game...

The whole thing looks awkward but that's not the sculptors fault. I always thought the chimera was the most overthetop monster of them all.

Imagine the first eye-witness reports:

"It...,it... it had a great head, like a lion, no like a goat, sorry that was two head, one like a lions and one like a goats and four feet with claws and hooves and fins and suction cups, and a tail, yes, but-but-but not a tail, it was a stinger, oh yes it was, like that of a scorpions, but also a-a-a, ... snake! and wings! it had wings like a dragon. Did I say two heads? I told a lie, it was three, one like a lions and a goats and a dragons and a... What I had for lunch? Mushrooms. Why do you ask?"

I think the Dragon looks a bit smug, like he knows something the other two heads don't.  :)

A usual problem with dragons. Since noone has ever seen one, noone knows what they really look like. There are so many dragon miniatures around that I don't like. However, defining what a dragon looks like exactly is beyond me. Same here. The head looks just a tiny little bit off but I couldn't really put my hands on what makes me feel that way. So I'll just say that it's a really great model.

The dragon head looks like it's tucked in between the lion head and right front leg. Doesn't look like it's attached to any anatomy. Would've preferred a longer neck. Not that it matters much, I'm just nitpicking.

"You're lucky. You're not next to him."
"What do you mean?"
"You snore."
"Oh I don't - anyway, you've got bad breath."
"Well its only because you don't brush my teeth."

&c.

(Sorry, not very original way to add silliness.)

Can a chimera also suffer from split personality?

It's got three heads, so three brains.  Not sure how well they cooperate, could make a good scenario, with our Heroes trying to set the different heads against each other.

Lovely model, but way out of my league price wise.
