You know, it may be too late to add this, but have you thought about adding some broken bracket bits around the cannon's side posts? Basically make it look like it was ripped off a gun carriage at some point and is still being dragged around as a bludgeon? I mean it still looks a bit too clean.

Also, I wonder if it's possible for him to have a tighter grip (though THAT maybe completely impossible at this stage of the work).

I joined my gun with pirate swords, and sailed the seas of cyberspace.

the broken brackets are on the base still attached to the carriage pal.  I havent got to the cannon yet so not even entering my mind yet :D

I have done a little more painting, I have also added some gribbly muck to his guts

Dee you make me want to pack it up & quit, you are a true talent my friend.
I am looking for the following Deadlands minis:  Shotgun Thug, Lost Soul, Cleaners, Railroad Workers & Feral Dead. If you have any of these minis, or if you are one, please send me a PM.

Ok, that's the first time in this whole thread that I've actually felt a little queasy looking at your work! (Probably not helped by having spent a few days last week at the hospital with a 'bowel obstruction')

You are doing a good for me. I got a lot of ideas from you. Must say I haven't used that many (yet) but by seeing how you pains some things I learn a lot about how I can paint certain parts as well :)

I have to agree. Which is the reason my girlfriend does not like it  lol
your blood/pus/gore/necrosis/veins...  I need a puking smiley to describe it and it's probably again to realistic (not comic style enough) to have a good chance at a GD. if only because GW can never publish pictures of your entries with the chance of some parents seeing it... (I think you mentioned something similar about your Ogres...). But the skill involved..  ooh man  :-*
Why aim for gold if you can get lead?

Well I refuse to change as a matter of principle pal, and if I never win because of it oh well.  I wonder how long I will spend banging my head against the wall until I realise I am wasting my time and sack off Golden Demon as a waste of time.....few years yet I reckon :)

Completely Agree! And you are not wasting time, you're motivating lots and lots of people, possibly more so then looking at the GD pictures does, with the amount of Wip shots that we get to see :)

Fantastic to see the unreal look so real. What is more every time I see the gaping flesh I feel hungry. You are truly a master of gore - more guts would be appreciated...

Not sure what that says about you :D

Nah i didn't mean quit painting pal, just meant quit golden demon, there are plenty of other quality painting contests out there that I could enter.

Well I brought another Forgeworld Great Unclean One (had to it was only £25).....so more guts will be coming in the future, wanted to see if I could improve on my previous effort.

Where might pictures of the ogres be seen?
