Who makes Star Trek crew minis in the classic movie uniforms?
« on: 11 January 2011, 05:09:09 PM »
Does anyone know who makes Star Trek crew minis in the classic movie uniforms?

Specifically, the maroon coat in the "classic" (Capt. Kirk) movies after (not including) the first movie.

Matakishi's Teahouse have them:

I have them, quite like them, although they are a bit fiddly to put together. The makers of heroclix are realeasing a clix trek game with some figs, but they are EXPENSIVE.

There's a British company that makes Star Trek TOS crew, including Spock, Kirk, and the rest.

Not matakishi's 40mm figures, these are 28s.

It is super secret, you have to contact them and ask.  Forget the name of the company.  I will try to remember.  I have them.  Very nice.

Also mega Minis makes them.

Those are great minis but they are for the TV show.

I'm looking for the Wrath of Khan uniforms.

Thanks heaps for responding, though.

I don't think you will find them. Star Trek miniatures are nearly impossible to find and most of them are based on the TV series.

You can still make customs based on existing TV series miniatures. or you could find other miniatures in uniforms and make heads swaps.

And if you can wait until June 30th :

That's EXACTLY what I'm looking for.

But FASA is gone, no?

Those Heroclix ones look nice but they're not the "classic" movie (though if they make more movies like the latest one I think we'll have a new and great definition of classic!)

The painted examples AEG is thinking of were probably mine.

The FASA Star Trek II sets are not that uncommon on eBay.   I got the Enterprise set shown in the pic last year for about $25, if I remember correctly.  You  may see them for much higher opening bids, but if you are patient and wait a few weeks (maybe a month or two depending), they will probably show up at a reasonable price.

The individual figures in the blisters seem rare, though.  Those are different from the box sets, with more dynamic poses.
