On a TMP thread, Plynkes inspired a great new rule for TSATF.
Ashanti's, realistically, rellied on firepower at extreme close range, from cover. They were not one's to charge into melee.
So, in TSATF (adapt mechanics for T&T or your favorite Coloinal rules) the Ashantis, if a hidden unit, who is undiscovered, may, during their turn, fire, THEN move 2d6 back into cover , where hopefully they can reload and fire again before the brits close.
They can only do this on their first turn when they come out of hiding. once they appear, fire and withdrawl, it's game on in the normal fashion.
I think Plynkes hit upon a GREAT concept. makes Ashanti fighting more accurate.
I dub this rule the "Jenny Agutter Provision"*.
*Years ago on TMP, Plynkes and I threadjacked a discussion an raved about how hot jenny Agutter is, and the sordid, filthy things we would do to her if we had our druthers. That is about how I remember it, eh Plynkes?
