Great colouring! I'd just like to add my utmost jealousy like everyone else!! Nice to see a building in bright colours. What paints did you use for that?

I couldn't have put it better.  I'm ashamed to admit mine are both still untouched...

Thank you all for the comments.
It's the first time I've had anything by Ziterdes and found it pretty easy to work with.
Commander: The building came "Painted" in a dark grey primer which readily accepted normal acrylics.
Andym: I used cheap hobby acrylics ( Reeves i think) applied using a sponge. I normally ues a sponge for large areas as it gives a good covering and doesn't leave brush marks. I also find it makes it easier to blend colours ( a little like a poor man's airbrush)
Hawkeye: I still haven't got a games table yet ( even though I've got a dedicated hobby room!!!). I should be picking up some trestle tables soon. As soon as I do I'll get some decent group shots done.

Excellent - looking forward to seeing all of this put together as a table.

Oh, and Smythe and Westlake - I don't know if it's what you had in mind, but of course it made me think of Smith and Weston. Very nice detail!

That is a very nice building. The only pity is that the insides aren't open for gaming in, but I still want one for myself, and your paintjob is inspirational!

It's a very universal design - anything from mid-19th C up to Near Future, really.

FFS PM will you please stop churning out all these awesome pieces ;D ;D

Another stunning piece Sir, my jealousy only increases

You must realize those are selfless actions on PM's part. I constantly heap my malice on those who make it impossible to look at any project of my own without weeping. He's just trying to keep my ire directed at him. Quite successfully, of course.

However, PM, I've plenty of malevolent envy to go around!  :D

Excellent - looking forward to seeing all of this put together as a table.

Oh, and Smythe and Westlake - I don't know if it's what you had in mind, but of course it made me think of Smith and Weston. Very nice detail!

Just thinking the same; what do you expect from residents of Nebraska and Kansas? I should say 'assumed' the same, but you know where that gets us. ;->=

However, that begs the question: Is the gentleman in front Messer Smythe, or Westlake? Or, perhaps, a spying weasel in the employ of  Herr Ruger?  lol

Not to worry, PM, we all know it WAS abandoned when handled by Ziterdes, but you've done an excellent job of urban regeneration!

You could be right, The_Beast - I was a little surprised that nobody else had said anything! Of course, PM's painting and modelling skills are rivalled only by his ability to think of cool names for the signage for his buildings!

Owning one of those, it is amazing to see how much they can be enhanced through some craetive work - kudos Pappa Midnight. :)

Smythe & Westlake were formed 9 years before those American chaps........ :D

Ok you got me gents....I love to tinker with history and find throwing in familiar sounding names adds a little flavour to the background.
The distinguished chap at the from of the factory is Sir Harcourt Rhymes looking to make a bulk order of the new "S&W Triple R" (Rapidly Repeating Rifle).

Stunning work.

PM, how difficult do you think it would be to create an interior for it?

Cheers
Andy

Golly!

I just don't understand how you can keep that pace and quality!

Been oogling that building for some time now... and you've just done a perfect job of it.
