New Foundry Victorian civillians

This could probably go in the Gothic Horror thread as well, but I thought you might like to see these:

Eight new packs, some quite nice figures, like Fagin in this one:

but some sculpts look to be of lower quality.

TBH I was of the opinion that Foundry had lost it big time but these are their best release in a very long time and do appeal to be fair.

Some recognisable donor figures I noticed after a quick glance so definately some conversions amongst them.

Ultimately though, am I going to pay a tenner for two couples and a dog for scenery?

Nope.

Am I going to wait for Dave Thomas to have them in his eBay shop for a realistic price? More than likely.  ;)

But yes, better than the rest of their recent output. And they have some very naughty ladies.

Agreed, there are some gems (Fagin, Ladies of the Evening, a few others) among a lot of otherwise stiffly-posed and unremarkable figures.

When did Foundry move to 5 figures in a pack? They have just had a price rise IIRC!

Not all gems I agree, but the first new figures from Foundry to tempt me at all in many a long year. Well done to them!

Almost good enough to buy, almost, but a bit expensive for scenery to be honest. Its a shame,  :(

They dont look too bad to me , and I would agree they are the best of the recent releases and as I collect Victoriana for a future project I will certainly be getting, bit worrying that its the 'first release', my wallets taking a battering at the moment. Dont want to get into the anti/pro foundry thing again but although 5 figures for £10.0 is quite a lot, if you buy the collection at a 20% discount it comes down to £1.40 ea , still a lot but comparable to some other manufactuers.

I find Foundry models to be excellent quality, but the price tag is ridiculous and far from what I would/could pay for that amount of models....  :? Especially compared to other manufacturers.

I looked at their ranges for WW2, Wild West and 7 Year war stuff but ended up buying from various other places.

I thought several of the women seemed to be leaning at odd angles. In my mind a Victorian lady should be standing upright, held in place by her corset.

Are these sculpted by the same person who done a lot of the westwind stuff. They all seem to be standing at strange angles with one leg streched out. Same as a lot of the westwind ones I have.
