Thank you Ray, I would not have cared so much for Flames of War if there would be no Blitzkrieg (Early War). It was the Blitzkrieg that made me start up a 15mm army, and the possibility to play Polish in particular. But I think that the Early War British and French are equally interesting. The entire early war is hugely overlooked  :)

I'm a big early war fan as well.

The Polish acquitted themselves with great courage and valor.

My second HMG platoon, this one from the Battlefront range. Got it while I was shopping additional artillery for my Polish army. You can see more pictures of it on my blog, I also took a couple of comparison pictures next to the Forged in Battle Polish hmg team and command.

Painted these up yesterday, also got more silflor tufts to decorate the remainder of my large and medium bases of importance. The artillery is from Battlefront like all other artillery in my collection. They were easier to assemble than the 37mm and 75mm guns, especially the gunshield which had better designated fittings.

Last platoon of artillery painted up a couple of days ago- my army is almost fully painted. I started painting the last Polish infantry platoon yesterday as well so all my 15mm stuff will be finished this coming week. At last.

A few more pictures of the 2nd Bofors 37mm platoon and closeups on the artillery park on my blog:

Thanks Ray  :)

It is just crazy how large the Polish platoons are. 1 company with 3 platoons equals something like 190+ miniatures  :o I knew what I was getting into, but I wonder if there is someone out there who has painted 2 full companies for the Infantry Battalion. I've mostly seen Battalions that have companies of 1-2 platoons each. That said, I'm an infantry guy, so I've always picked armies that rely on the "regular" infantry. WHFB Empire and WH40k Imperial Guard etc

When I forget how painful it was to paint the last couple of models I will expand with some dismounted cavalry as well but until then - I just hope to get more games under my belt  :)
