There is a pub just opposite the Novotel hotel called 'The Fox at Excel' that isn't bad at all. It's at the western end of Excel. There are a number of restaurants there.......Frothers tend to fall in the Chinese later on on the evening and attempt karaoke.......although this was not allowed last year for reasons unknown to any of us  ;)

Maybe we should all wear name badges.........

Yeah, except, I've always thought this idea a little odd - as if we've all been let out of the hospital for the day...

No surprises there then. It was a nightmare at the end of last year  ::)

I should be there at 7:00 tomorrow morning to hopefully miss most of the queue  :?

cheers

I should be there before noon - Bakers Dolphin, Central Line and the DLR willing.

For those who don't know me (usually via GWP), I'm big, greying with a goatee beard and a walking stick.

Haha I saw you and would love to know what your project will be from the empress stand  :D

Also It was a really great day met loads of really nice people and saw old faces again was a great day and expensive!

Great show... Apart from the queue to get in: horribly mismanaged - yet again!  >:(

Still, once in, lots of wonderful displays - much better than the last couple of years IMHO (far less Subbuteo cloths in evidence, thank God) - and good to say hello to so many faces old and new  :)

My favourite thing...

AWI British redcoats, WOTR knights (mounted), ACW confederate infantry, and three Napoleonic sets - Prussian reserve (so much for the Perrys supposed non aggression pact with Warlord), Russians, and Austrians / German States.

No plastic Sudan British I'm sorry to say  ::)

No good to me unfortunately - though the Austrian heads might be useful:
