Byklabad ~ Indian Mutiny village

At Vapnartak last month I picked up the Indian Mutiny period houses/ruins/courtyards from Mutineer Miniatures to 'dress' my Indian Mutiny games more convincingly. To break up the tedium of painting British infantry this month ~ only 47 done so far ~ I've painted up the buildings. I also made a small Hindu shrine, using the domed roof from Coritani, Hindu gods from Tiger Miniatures and some artist's foamcore board coated in Basetex.

Did you say the Indian gods were from Tiger Miniatures? I didn't see them anywhere on their website.

Yes they were from Tiger:they were in a small box on the trade stand at a show last December.

From the books i have read on the Indian Mutiny, northern india they describe most small villages were walled with gates for there protection.
This was also described in some of the small action.
