Acklay beast for 15mm Star Wars (photos inside)
« on: 31 May 2011, 02:05:42 AM »

Just repainted a Star Wars Miniatures Acklay figure. While Star Wars Miniatures are 28mm difures, this Acklay looks beter with 15mm figures. In this scale its scale to humanoid is almost like in Episode 2.

By the way, if you want to know more about Acklay, here is Wookipedia article:
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Acklay

And here are different angles of model. It came with good texture, but I've painted his eyes and tongue, and then washed and drybrushed it to make this beast more realistic. I also painted and flocked its base. My idea was to give it's base a look of something between desert and grassy land, because you can find Acklays on planets with different climates.

And to get an idea about size of model here is picture from http://www.miniaturereview.com/

Its base diameter is 7cm have height of about 7,3 cm
