Bank holiday Project 2: LAAG Turret mounted weapon
« on: May 31, 2011, 02:43:16 PM »
Another Halo destined project, (I'll include this in the main thread at some stage).

Been taking off the M41 Light Anti-Aircraft Guns (LAAG) from a few warthogs to turn them into APC's, but wanted to use the guns for my gaming. In ODST LAAG Gun Platforms appeared as well as the usual static pintel mounts....I liked these alot: :D

So looking through my piles of stuff I remembered a couple pencil sharpeners I bought that were rescaled versions of an old action force, (British GI Joe ish figures from the 80's) support weapons. Well looking at the tripod bases and looking at that picture got me thinking.....

The LAAG fits straight in the recess where the support gun sits, snuggly too:

Might add the guard rail, might just leave it as is, trimmed the supports down a touch and just undercoated the base last night and will paint asap.

Very simple and a case of having the rights parts at the right time. :)
