Transportable Desert Village
« on: 10 June 2011, 11:53:02 AM »
Because I often game at others peoples homes, I have to make my terrain transportable (I have no Car usually taking the tube or bike).
The least transportable setting I could imagine was a town or Village, because you have lots of buildings wich take lots of space...

Then I saw a Babushka and an I had a new transport idea... :D

So here is the desert village, quite generic so far, because I want use it for Chariot wars, to pulp, to WW2...

Birdsview. All the buildings are accessable.

The buildings are a bit flat, because they had to be put into one another. So there is noch interior or outside decoration...

And this is the package of the desert village, with all the stuff on the table put into a box (11 x 23 x 33 cm).

The box fits easy in my rucksack... :)

DV... :)

Ich finde deine "Pack alles in einen Karton" Gelände echt große Klasse!
Gerade für Leute die wenig Raum zur Verfügung haben ist das genial. Aber auch zum Transport ist es von großem Vorteil.

Danke für die Inspiration!

I like your stackable terrain features. Especially because they do not need much space. This makes transportation very handy.

Thanks for this Idea!  8)

How kewl is THAT!

the best ideas are the ones, where you think ... "why the heck didn't I think of that before??"

That really asks for some kind of "journey-tabletop-set" ... hmmmmmthink

Very clever! The next Build something competition should have the title 'Practical terrain'.

Very clever indeed! I looked at the photos and the smile spread from ear to ear. I love it when the realisation of an idea inspires me so much. Thank you, DonVoss.

Clever.

Botou os ingleses na roda

Ficou marcado na história
E no Rio não tem outro igual

That is just a great idea and very well executed and deserves the name of its creator so hence forth it should be know as DONVOSS Terrain (Dictionary definition: terrain designed to be stored in the smallest space with no impact to its aesthetic appeal).

I now want to see a DONVOSS space port and a fleet of DONVOSS ships.

Jules
