"Kurt Eggers" Kriegsberichter Company
« on: 21 July 2011, 03:01:40 AM »

finally got the boys from "Kurt Eggers" done and dusted...   8)
sadly over 48hrs too late  for the Guild group build - d'oh!!! :? - ah well - can't be in everything eh?

I'm pleased with the finished results - yellow waffenfarbe (signals) which
technically is the branch the PK company belonged to.
As ever - 20mm metal figures from Battlefield Miniatures - slightly tweaked by me!

cheers, rob  ;)

Great job on those, even though there not in my prefered scale (28mm). A great inspiration, and a cracking job on the base too. Say Cheese indeed ;)

Yours truly,

Sir Dryden

Wonderfully painted. Are you gonna use the minis for any gaming? Some weird scenarios come to my mind.

Excellent job!

May I ask you which colors you used and from which company?

I like your work.

Thank you, that's kind of you to say! :D
Which colours are you after? I use vallerjo almost exclusively these days!
Anyone wanting a good source for this type of cammo should check out Calvin tan's osprey on how to paint "this type of unit" - (sorry to be vague, but I'm not sure what I can say as this is a german based forum- I reread the image restrictions last night and hope my cammo doesn't fall foul of the rules) :?

Cheers, rob 8)

Heya

Very nice paint job, especially since its 20mm. The base it self with the scenery is truely very nice indeed. I love the signs, great theme as well with the divisional insignia. I also got to say that I love the theme, something for us that are in to the the obscure parts of the war :D

I dont think unit names, names of persons or such, or cammo, uniformparts etc are forbidden. It is specifically the swastika as a symbol that is against the law, perhaps even the sig runes. With that in mind you can absolutely write the name of the book. It is not historical work per se that is against the law.

I'm pretty sure that only the swastika symbol and SS runes are illegal in Germany.  Names of people, units, events, places, etc., are not illegal.

No comments regarding your choise of waffenfarbe for the crown of the schirmutze so far, it is usually up for debate when it comes to SS uniforms, especially later parts of the war. Even though they technically are from the signals corps, or rather can be, they should still retain the standard waffenfarbe, wich in case of the SS would be white (normally only infantry). However, I would have used white, and save golden yellow for units with die hard kavallerie traditions :-P
The shoulderboards can naturally keep the branch waffenfarbe piping.

This ^^ should be considered small talk and not actuall critique of your miniature painting. I would like to stress that fact.
