Just a quick heads up to say the new castings are in the web shop and available now.

Nice looking figures.  How do "Boot Hill" match up with Artizan?  For example, would the New Orleans Greys mix together in a single unit?

They are scaled to fit alongside Artizan. If you look through some of my battle reports you will see the figures mixed together. They are similar height and proportions so blend well together.

But the similarity ends there in my humble opinion, Boot Hill figures being by far the better figures in every other respect. ;)

Loveliness!

As they are scaled to artizan, does this mean they will dwarf my old foundry old west? Please so no!

Yep, afraid so. I have rebased my Original Foundry Mexican Peons with a spacer to fit alongside my Boot Hill figures.

Unfortunately most things dwarf the original Foundry Old West figures (The Copplestone ones) Nowadays. Although his plains indians and US Cavalry were slightly larger and closer to Artizan/Boot Hill size.

Have you got some shots of them together? Perhaps I need to sell off the 25mm and move to 28mm?

You are in luck. You can see some of my Foundry Peons (before being rebased with a spacer) paying their taxes to the Boot Hill Miniatures Presidiales in this game report.

If you really bothered by the height difference slip a spacer between the base of the miniature and your chosen base (whether it be a washer or a slotta etc.) Lifting the figure a couple of mm can make a load of difference to the eye and does compensate.

Crap at rebasing, so I might see how adding another washer works, though I'm guessing UGLY!

Dont add two washers. Just cut a small piece of cardboard or plasticard depending on the thickness required and slip it between the figure and the washer.  Assuming you texture the figures base with filler or sand/grit to blend it with the washer you will also cover the spacer in between and it will be hidden. The figure will just stand higher on the base. It works fine.  :)
