Author Topic: Oh no..... Not MORE Victorian Shops........FINISHED 09 Oct 11 PIC HEAVY (Read 15456 times)

Had a few hours spare this weekend to get on with some modelling as most of my spare time being absorbed by a 9 week old Siberian Husky Pup called "CZAR".
Any how, I've still got quite a few sheets of foam left and thought I'd build a few more shops. This time I decided to do a corner plot so I can start arranging streets rather than single buildings side by side.
I used my normal format of NOT working to a plan ( which gives the building a bit more character....... that's my excuse..!!!) and scribing all of the brickwork with a pencil. I used my old faithful "S" scale Grandt Line shop fronts with windows from Ratio and Wills.
Just need to do the roof tiles, interiors and paint it.....

I will add more pics as I go.

Wow PM, these are great! I know we kinda expect that from you, because you're so awesome, but even so these are fantsic. The proportions look spot on, and the detailing (brickwork above the windows, plaque on the gable wall, the chimneys) looks excellent.

Can't believe you didn't model these on a real building - it looks very realistic. Can't wait to see it with the roofs finished!

Stunning. The gable windows, the chimneys, the stairs at the back - the detailing is fantastic. It's going to look wonderful alongside your other buildings.

Congrats on the new puppy too - they do have a way of keeping you busy, it's true!
