Oh, hell. I've been tempted by this period for a long time. The only thing that has saved me has been lack of figs. Yes, Foundry has them, but you get like one sculpt per faction. I am doomed....

From a painting point of view, I'd buy this figure just by itself.   :)

(Pity it isn't available now.  Been painting a figure with an elaborate uniform so I'm just in the mood.   :) )

That's a blindingly good curtain raiser Ged-boy  8)

The 40s are very nice but this is God's chosen scale.  :-*

Quite - I must not start another era, but I'm quite captivated by this fellow!

thanks Gents for all the positive feedback , i have just commisioned more of  the

Egyptian Battalion ( or the Egyptian /sudenese battalion as its otherwise known)

with officer and other ranks ( officers were Egyptian other ranks Sudenese) for this

formidable unit.  i will have the Major cast up as soon as i can and offer him for sale

for those interested.........i want to do the best possible range i can so kindly bear

with me as i need to finish www.gringo40s American -maexican war and have started

a 40mm alamo period as well. this range will be done at the same time...after the
