Didn't stop to paint, got a lot of stuff painted, just didn't manage to take photos till today.

Old Citadel Thugs. Just to put some criminality to Witchtown. I love these figures, so much character.

And two new freaks with some random stuff, the one with the mask is an old Citadel miniature, the other guy is from Scibor. The dog is Ral Partha and the horse head is Foundry.

Love the guy with the mask. I've never seen that mini it's very cool.
I am looking for the following Deadlands minis:  Shotgun Thug, Lost Soul, Cleaners, Railroad Workers & Feral Dead. If you have any of these minis, or if you are one, please send me a PM.

This latest batch is especially great (thugs, dog, horse head and 2 characters).  :o :-* We can really tell life has been rough to those thugs and they intent to repay all comers in kind. Have had my eye on that Ral Partha dog (still in print at Iron Wind) but have not seen those two characters before. Love the sculpts, love the execution.  8)

Ah Mr Witchiemer I see we have similar tastes in figs, I have the thugs except number 3 (which I have looked at several times and noiw I know he has a club is a dead cert: http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=33813.0)
Who is the eye-patched gong hidding in the back of the thug scene

The masked man is perhaps my favourite citadel mini (though that's a tough call) and the hunchback is on my list at the moment and the dog well he looks the dog's b******* (is it still available)

How could I possibly miss this thread completely? o_o
Wonderful stuff, very inspirational. We obviously share a love for the weird Late Medieval, "Boschesque" aspects of good ol' Mordheim.

Those fill a necessary role in The Town...what would a civilized community be without Thugs, Hoodlums, Hooligans, & Ne'er-do-wells? VERY WELL DONE...I love your painting style!

Lovely stuff here, beautiful painting. I would love to see an overall shot of the town so far as well as a step by step painting guide for your Citadel minis. Love your understated tones.

Thug number 4 has been a stalwart villain in many of my D&D games over the years - I wish I had had the others. The unmasking freak was always a favourite, but sadly never owned it.

Wonderful stuff.

Thank to all for your kind comments :)

Next bunch of old Citadel minis.

Two citizens. The beggar is a pre-slotta one, so very old in many respects. The guy with the scythe is a Trish Morrison sculpt. The sculpt isn't really the standard of today but funny to paint for some reason.

Ans some reinforcements for Witchtown's militia. Got the greatsword guy recenty from our WK, thanks mate! The two guys on the right (spear and bow armed) aren't painted by me, but by a talented german paintress Andre Wille about 12-13 years ago. I just rebased them. I think, they do fit my collection and painting style quite well

I thought that one militia fighter with axe could make a nice woodcutter.

And a bit of a preview, more goodies on my workbench. Witchtown's high society..

Hi to all,

A wonderful and inspirational project indeed. That newly-added archer brought back a ton of memories. It was featured in an old Citadel painting guide I got in the late 80's. There was only one photo of it, to illustrate drybrushing if I remember correctly. I used to love that mini and was actively looking for it at the time. It still looks good. Thanks for sharing, and please share a lot more!

Yours truly,

Sir Dryden
