I propose to see the Russian-Belarusian feature film "Brest Fortress".
 English subtitles.

A war drama set during the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union in June 1941, in which Russian troops held on to a border stronghold for nine days.
The film is based on real events, all the key characters have real prototypes.

During the Second World War in Russia was very popular American song "Comin 'In On A Wing And A Prayer".
 On this tune was written by the Russian text.
 Now that song plays Russian rock group "Chizh and K".

 By the way, while American bombers after the raids on Germany landed in the Soviet airfield at Poltava. Planes refueled, loaded with bombs and went into the return flight.

In the Russian version of the song is called "The song of the American bombers."

I invite you to the next show on Sunday in our cinema  ;)

 Today invite you to one of the best Soviet films about the war: "They Fought for Their Land" (Russian: Они сражались за Родину, translit. Oni srazhalis' za Rodinu) is a 1975 Soviet war film directed by Sergei Bondarchuk. The film is the story of a Soviet platoon fighting a rearguard action during the German drive on Stalingrad. The film has English subtitles. Two of the series.

@Cuprum

I love this thread. I know so little about Russia, it's a shame. I really like discovering Russian culture through your posts. Being a children of the Cold War, this is quite amazing for me. Keep on posting, it's a joy every time.

Yours truly,

Sir Dryden

I propose today to watch a movie in a series of "Liberation". It's called "The Bulge of Fire".

The grand military epic, which knows no parallel in world cinema: The Story of the Great Patriotic War of the Battle of Kursk to the hoisting of the Victory Banner over the Reichstag - "Liberation". Thousands of soldiers and hundreds of pieces of equipment, the almost total absence of scenery - all in nature, an international cast, dozens of filmmakers from different countries working on the film for four years of filming.

I'm sorry that I spurred you on the additional costs  ;)

But I am glad that I was not in vain looking for these movies on the web. I hope they will inspire someone on the new game to create new scenarios. So as you can spy on Russian uniforms and Terrane.

Anyway - this is often a good movie! The next series - next weekend.
