Sarissa Precision 28mm SciFi

I painted some of their 15mm WW2 stuff. Nice- easy to put togeather and paint. the chimney was a bit disapointing, but everything else looks great. I would recomend them. and I would look at this stuff for any AE bounty/Necromunda games I might do in the future.

Nice work there Rob. I was thinking of painting the chimneys with a cornerstone effect to hide the joins.

Just picked mine up from the postie and threw one of the smallest pieces, the 'explorer' cabin together (without glue). It took all of about 5 minutes (and 1/2 that was popping out excess from mounting holes/slots!).

I like it, tbh. I've now put them all together (just dry-fitted, to get a feel for the size). They're very nicely done and drip with atmosphere, and should look great painted up. On the strength of these, I'll be ordering some more at the end of the month (got a nice colony world game bubbling in the back of my mind). They go together easily but some of the front wall tabs are a bit[i/] snug - easily fixed with a file though.

I would definately say they need to be built up permanently, I don't think they'd stand up to repeated assembly/dissasembly. Painting to hopefully start this weekend with notes and a work in progress, right here!

The Sarissa stuff is looking great! I've seen some painted examples in the Infinity forums as well as on the Ghosts of the Civil Dead blog. I'm definitely getting some for my Infinity table.

Another company called Warmill's Lasercut is doing something very similar that have apparently been developed at the same time. Some painted pics of their stuff:

Those gantries look promising, I am not so sure about the bigger houses/enclosures. I mean, they look nice alright, but the price is getting to me a bit? If they were just a little bit cheaper (or maybe buy bundle deals?)

£20 or so doesn't seem steep for what is a pretty large building that you can get inside. Admittedly when you start adding gantries etc to that the price starts to rise but I'll be getting some.

Wow, I didn't realise they're that big!

So the roofs come off in the scifi buildings as well? Do they have interior walls or anything?

The small one is blank, but the larger ones have supports that can be spaced as you want which break up the interior a little. However there is an interior wall set that you can get to put in the pods and configure however you like. If you buy three pods I think you get the walls free.

Looks very interesting, but like most people, I'd want to see how it paints up before committing to buying any of it.

Takes paint fine as long as they aren't watered down too much (it is wood after all), however washes shouldn't be applied too widely as they can be soaked up.
