And before someone eagle eyed points it out I have just noticed that the Bengals appear to have swapped commanders whilst returning to barracks!   lol Not for long!!  :D

Great looking troops.
You have a fine collection.
The first pics would look good for the London Times, 1880s.
Really neat, love everything.

WOW WOW WOW!  You have the collection I am working towards.

Question:  where do you get the 4 hole movement bases?

Thanks for all the kind remarks.

Question:  where do you get the 4 hole movement bases?

The answer is warbases.co.uk       They are laser cut in MDF. I use the penny size bases 4 x 4 and mount 2 pieces of plain MDF one on top of the other for the artillery and cavalry to bring them up to the same height. I prime with Vallejo Red Leather, sometimes 2 coats as the MDF soaks it up like a sponge, then Iraqi Sand over that lightly leaving some red showing, and Gloss varnish around the edges. PVA on top and press down upsidedown into the base texture (GW sand as it has small pieces of grit in it lke rocks, Citadel is just smooth sand.)  If I want to add any larger rocks I use Green Stuff (or rather Kneadite bought off eBay as its cheaper) to base  them on so they blend into the bases and I do that at the very beginning before anything else. If I want to add a few tufts I leave suitably sized bald patched without PVA before I dip into the base texture. After the basetex is dry I paint it with an emulsion of PVA/water to seal it and after drying I dry brush it with Iraqi Sand and Ivory then put the Silflor tufts in place. Finally spray with dullcote or Armypainter Anti-shine (though I find with AA you sometimes need two coats for it not to dry slightly satin). Same procedure for basing the figures really. Just superglue to pennies, blend the figure's base into the penny with Green Stuff and then carry on as with the MDF bases. I do them all at the same time for it saves faffing about.
The guys at Warbases are excellent, service and comms are great, and if you want something specific which isn't on the website just tell that what you want and they'll do it. They made me several bases with holes scattered around randomly, I used some for the screw gun artillery base, another for the stretcher party base, and am about to order more to base the Mahdists on, that way I can use the figures for skirmish games or other types of rules systems.

I do try to buy the figures at shows like Vapnartak, both Partizans and Derby as I tend to stagger over to the counter loaded down with armfuls of figures, wave a wad of cash in the air in the general direction of Dave Thomas, his eyes light up  :-* and I get decent discount!!   lol
Only go online when the urge can't be resisted or I want something specific and can't wait.  ::)
Apart from an email in response to a question asking whether we might get some mounted Mounted Infantry and Egyptian Camel Corps and a few other items, I've never spoken to either of the Perry's in the flesh. I would have to practice restraining myself from bowing and grovelling first I think.  :D
