Hi,

I'm looking for info on the Bida/Ilorin Campaigns and Sokoto War. Any good sites with info?

The Foundry book "Small Wars and Skirmishes" has a chapter on Lugard's 1903 campaign, and quite a few line drawings of types, both WAFF and troops from the various emirates. It's only about ten pages out of a 220 page book, though. The other Foundry book "Knights of the Savannah" has something too I fancy, I don't recall exactly how much, though.

Other than that, I got nothing, sorry.

Thanks for the heads up, Plynkes. I'm underfunded for books at the moment but I'll keep an eye for one. I found a free book though.  :D

Seymour Vandeleur's, "Campaigning on the upper Nile and Niger" is packed with information and pictures. Shame about the abcense of the maps but still worth while. http://www.archive.org/details/campaigningonup03vandgoog

Many thanks mate. I took a look at Queen Victoria's Enemies (2) and it has some info on Northern Nigeria. I think There are many useful figures available for those armies.

Didn't receive the stuff mate. Substitute postman misplaced my mail including some parcels with figures and the complaints to the Postal Services came to nothing. >:(
