Looking for ruleset...
« on: February 06, 2012, 10:25:32 AM »
Hi all,

I'm a looking for a ruleset detailing a post app. era.
But I am not looking for zombies and stuff. Regular chaps and girls vs left over military types, scroungers and stuff.
Any suggestions?
I working on my own rules but if there is a set out there....

All Things Zombie would work too.  Along with its expansions you have Law enforrcement, civilians, military and gangs which over time turn into 'survivors' and 'Gangers'.   Includes rules for scavaging, character progression, and so on.   Has rules for chance encounters with other people.  Leave out the zombies, they really are the cause of the apocalypse in this game, but you could substitute your own cause easily enough.

Combat Zone and Rezolution are both good rule sets.

You could try Chain Reaction 3 by 2 hour wargames before buying ATZ as it's free - the reaction system is not to everyone's taste.

There's also the old Grenadier game Future Warriors: Kill Zone

Skank, Wastelands 3 meltdown, Neutronyork 3000 and Nuclear Renasisance are all good rulesets. Apart from Neutronyork they are all free.

All Things Zombie by Two Hour Wargames. Really good game system, and easily converted to suit what ever kind of post-apocalyptic setting you would like.
