I seen the stuff people managed to build up last year and I fancied taking a wee pop myself. The rules for the comp are on another thread....

http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=37253.0

We're allowed to post WIP but not the complete construction and painted item until we're finished, so I thought I'd use this thread to keep me going

My idea for it is going to be a futuristic scout all-terrain rover. I've got some sweetie containers.....

....and this is what I'm going to try and build (in the space of about two weeks!! :'()....

I'll get some WIP shots up later.

I would love to see what anybody else has so far and what ideas people are going with.

This looks ambitious!  Given your track record, it's entirely possible though.  :D

Good Luck.  I wanted to enter this both times, but I'm having trouble finding time.
This is my boomstick!

I'm hoping that now I've got an idea it should just be a case of battering through it!! o_o

Anyway I've made a start.....

This is roughly all the bits laid out. I've only got one of the legs pretty much finished..........

Good luck, anybody that's entering!

Cheers Jim!!

I havent decided on a colour yet. I'm thinking either bog-standard grey, some sort of snow camouflage(of got a couple of wee bits of icy terrain I can use in a photo) or I really like Dwartists GOT vehicles he's been posting up recently, maybe a green-based camo?

Really, really nice! That actually looks like a plausible, overcomplicated futuristic vehicle. From the future.

And are you posting this to demoralize your fellow competitors? It's working, you know... ::)

Na, just trying to strike up some interest in the competition! Since Roebeast posted up the rules I haven't noticed anybody else talking about it. Just curious more than anything!

I was looking at those Hubba Bubba containers myself. In the end, I found something I liked so much I just had to use it instead, even if it meant redefining what I'd been planning to do.

Your more than welcome to if you want to, but we might gain more valuble constructive criticism and strike more interest if there's more than one thread?

Any hints? .......or are you keeping your cards close to your chest?

'Foss style'? Is that the artist Chris Foss? I've just realised (without knowing it before) he was one of my favourite artists!! I got a book full of his drawings when I was about ten called 'Spaceship 2000'.Amazing artwork! Are you thinking a colourful style?

Ehhh... strange image bud! I try not to associate with canines of such low moral fibre...

Good! So we're going to eventually play a snow trooper game?

Cheers
