Re: Dust Tactics: Revised Core Set painted
« Reply #45 on: 06 August 2012, 03:27:02 PM »
This not the core set anymore, but I´ll reuse the topic modifying the title. I have started painting a SSU army with the basic infantry unit, the Frontoviki. Here they are:

I have used Vallejo Soviet Uniformed washed with Ogryn Flesh for the clothes, and Gunship Green and Olive Green washed with German Grey for the helmets/armour... An assortments of browns and khakis with washes were used for the bags and complements.

And now, the Fakyeli, the assault troops.

I didnt really like the Russians when I first saw them, but now seeing them painted up, they really are pretty nice, especially the Fakyeli.

The Fakyeli are really cool, it reminds me the Soviet Assault Engineers. The idea of a sniper squad doesn't likes me much, but it is for game purposes, aren't they?

They do not have the Sniper ability. Basically they wear penetrator, long-range rifles. The SSU sniper is a different unit with the same rifles but the Sniper and Agile abilities.

I order the Premium version of Sigrid von Thaler and Bazooka Joe, as I had not the original core version. The paintjob was very disappointing, so I retouched them, starting with Sigrid.

Here is the original version, untouched.

Here is my new one, with just some shadows and lights in the uniform and flesh, and the hair and some other details repainted. Nothing too fancy
