I'm games mastering a summer pirate event heavily inspired by the French guys who did something similar and posted it here on the LAF some one or two years ago.

In total we should be about 10 guys, but several won't have a crew of their own so I'm going to paint a lot of pirates and thankfully another guy is also going to be painting a lot of pirates,. I hope to persuade him into joining me in this mini summer piratical blog of sorts.

And I hope my favourite captain and personal friend mr. Blood won't be too offended that I start it all off with some whimsical ghostly pirates. I quite like the idea of some cursed pirates roaming the seas so that they might one day return to their prior form (as inspired by the disney movies and the lucas arts games)

So I'll be damned.

Here are the first four figures by me:

Captain Lechuck and his former crew

And some close ups displaying my horrible standard  lol

Again it's Old Glory figures... I don't know what it is with me and OG. I seem to be constantly complaining about them and constantly buying more from them. Hmm!

I do think their pirate line is decent though. Just ignore the hands and the feet.  lol

I'm - still - trying to paint moderately fast so that I might even manage it all in the two (almost three) months that are left.

Thanks Jim!

And that name just get's me to the next place I wanna be at: The campaign event!

It's going to be a 'narrative' campaign (why would a campaign ever not be narrative!?) where the crews are trying to gather pieces for the map of the dead pirate Bambooza's treasure hoard.

There will be a dedicated 'encounter-player' who doesn't have a gang per se, but plays.. well.. all the things that are encountered (sea creatures and the lot).

We are currently discussing how to do the bordello, the Starbuccaneers and the Inn... I guess the first logical step would be to figure out the rules, but hey - rules smules! Oh and palm trees. We need a load of them. Good thing Andym already be showed me how.

I'm even reading R.L. Stevenson's great classic to the kids now. Where will this all end!  lol

The Lads haven't suffered from the speed painting; they look SPLENDID...it's good to see Living Impaired Guys who are still snappy dressers. VERY WELL DONE!
