I was given plenty of suggestions when I first built it for Krappefortt.
One plonker even suggested a tennis court!

That's courting controversy  :D

RIP Theydon Bois. Long live the Major Action Deployment Team more to follow!  8)

Hmmm......

RIP Theydon Bois. Long live the Mass Action Deployment Team more to follow!  8)

Indeed.
Unfortunately Theydon Bois died in the last game, killed at the hands of a Fishman Demagogue using Touch of Death to remove him from play and signifying the break-up of the team.

Ironically, Theydon had been suffering from Haphephobia (fear of being touched) for several games now.
Prophetic, maybe.....

As for the Major Action Deployment Team, details of that idea appear below.
 ;)

M.A.D. Team Rules... M.O.O.S.(E). Ministry of Occult Studies (England) UD:23/09
« Reply #3122 on: 23 September 2016, 07:50:36 PM »
Major Action Deployment team.

The idea behind the M.A.D. team came from the appearance of the Gas Masked Agents that appear in the Blind Beggar range of miniatures.....

Based upon their appearance and armament a M.A.D. team follows the following rules:

Major Action Deployment team rules.

30BP (15PP/15EP)

A M.A.D. team consists of 1 Character and 4 Agents.

All have Light Armour (+1 Con, -1 M) and Clubs (rifle butts!).
Each member of the team is armed with one firearm.
The weapons carried by the are as follows: 2x Tommy-Gun, 1x Double Barrelled Shotgun, 1x Single-Barrelled Shotgun and 1x Bolt Action Rifle.

3 additional skills to be distributed amongst team as these are not 'green' operatives and it reflects their previous experience.
(Up to 2 skills may be allocated to the Character and 1 to Agents)

There will be no new members added or any re-equipping.
The team continues until disbanded by the player.

Instead of gaining Map Pieces the team gains 1EP, to spend as the player decides, instead.
This may be 'stored' between games in order to 'save-up' for better items should the player wish.
This represents weapons non-standard issue equipment that the team may have picked up whilst in the field.

As the team is run at the same points total as one that has gained a Promotion for Extraordinary Heroism the same rules apply regarding Lurker benefits.

This idea should provide some interesting games from the beginning and also allow the Lurker player to field some rather better equipped lists too.

Our first game will take place next week......
 :D

The Major Action Deployment Team aka the M.A.D. Team. Also nicknamed as the M.I.B.B. (Men In Black Bowlers).

They also have an unofficial nickname behind the scenes in M.O.O.S(E) - 'flies'. This due to their distinctive appearance with their gas masks and black bowlers - and also because you can always find them in the shit!  lol

M.A.D. Team Prime:

Major Ivor Bumsor - Agent Alpha
An ex-cavalry officer, published his memoirs 'Ten Years in the Saddle' by Major Bumsor

Andy Tover - Agent Bravo
After a shady past as a street robber, has risen to clear his name and become a highly respected and decorated soldier

Justin Ardley-Close - Agent Charlie
The youngest member of the team, often a little over-enthusiastic

Harry Balls - Agent Delta
Eldest son of an upper middle class family, his father was the famous lion tamer Claude Balls

Jonjo Odleigh-Stammers - Agent Echo
A former ilumnus of Eton, his early life was clouded by speculation around unsound practices with a young prefect

You're a man after my own heart, Bert. You have my condolences on that.
I'd NEVER join a club that would have me as a member.  G.Marx

 lol lol

I read your post out to the Missus and, after a few 'Oh, dear's and a little eye-rolling she guessed it had been written by you.
I guess that means that you have a certain reputation, Bertie.
 :D :D

I like it, though, and I see that you could not resist making some names up.
Good man.

They do look sinister & diabolic; somewhere between the KKK & the IRS. The brushwork & bases look SPLENDID. OUTSTANDING WORK!

Another fine offering from you that I will have to acquire.  I will make sure that all the other gents this way are aware of this KS (we are getting together Wednesday night). Hopefully some will get in on this KS.

Sounds like the new Hybrids will start their long swim accross the big pond soon. Looking forward to those as well.

One has to keep up appearances! The names came to me in the pre-dawn of Saturday morning as I lay awake desperately trying to get back to sleep after a visit to the khazi, and failing utterly! Once I got to thinking about the gas masked agents, how I was going to paint them and what I was going to call them I had to abandon any thoughts of sleep and got my ruminations down on paper. Such is the power of Strange Aeons!

Good to see the little grey cells are working OK, even if nothing else is.

All I need to do is throw a succession of fives and sixes - what could go wrong?  ;)

It's safer than Sam Alladyce's career...

(Sorry, a cultural reference for the football fans out there 8)).
