On to the Deep Ones that I finished off a couple of days ago.

They were bought on the Bazar. They were painted already, they just needed a little work so that they would blend in with my collection. All I did was add a little more shading with Citadel Washes and another layer of highlighting, dabbed in the eyes and rebased them to fit in with my other miniatures.

Here they are

I have no idea what manufacturer they are, if you know please tell me.
 ;)

I think they will fit in well with the Uncle Mike Fishman that I have to paint up to lead them.

Hope you like them.
 :D

Very nice looking Deep Ones.
By the way, those Deep Ones are from RAFM.

Those are VERY COOL along with nicely painted & based. I could be wrong & frequently am, but I think those Guys are from RAFM.
I'd NEVER join a club that would have me as a member.  G.Marx

Great stuff, especially the heroes in the first post!

This thread and an offhand comment from Uncle Mike elsewhere on LAF are getting me thinking about setting up a Strange Aeons game in British India, with resurgent Thugee and British/Anglo-Indian "Threshold". Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is obviously also an inspiration along those lines.

Thanks, necrocannibal and DeafNala!
RAFM, indeed.
That explains why they are a litttle on the small side.

I thoroughly agree.
That would be an excellent concept, plenty of miniature options available, too.
Go for it!

That is the great thing about Strange Aeons, it is adaptable to all locales, and with a little work, all periods.

Speaking of heroes, there are a few more finished members of M.O.O.S.(E).
I will post pics of a couple later...

They are rather nice sculpts, I think.

A small update of some M.O.O.S.(E). operatives.
This time it is two Chaps who will be used as Civilians, the non-military personnel of the M.O.O.S.(E). Headquarters.

I think that they will fit in quite well.
I have a few more miniatures finished, ready to pose for the camera.

On another note, the AAR that was promised will have to wait, as my opponent, Bert, is unwell and unable to come over today.
I have decided to set up the table anyway and test some different set ups.
I will take some pictures when I do.

i will post these when I have taken them.
Until then...

Well, may want to talk to your friend after reading the contest post I just made.  ;)

Bearing your contest in mind, and having not played yet, I decided to see exactly how much scenery would be needed for a standard board, so I set a basic one up.
I took a couple of pictures so that others who have not played yet could see that you do not actually need that much.

Please forgive the blurry picture.
My other half had left the camera on a setting that did not help and she was out at the time, so I had no idea how to alter it. The effort above was my attempt whilst standing on a chair.
Not good, I know..... ::)

I only used the em4 Farm and, with a couple of hedges, it pretty much filled the table.
With the addition of a few small pieces for character, it would be very acceptable.
Not a whole lot of scenery needed then...

I hope that this helps prompt those who may be put off by a lack of scenery, into getting a few scenery elements out of their cupboards etc. and try a set up.
A 3x2 board does not need a lot, as you can see.

Thanks for the scenery post! Great looking scenery! I think everyone is going to be in for a treat from everyone that is going to be posting their games up!

*ARG* I forgot to take a picture of the cool pentagram summoning circle someone made for my LGS, I was going to copy it.

That was only a test set-up, just to demonstrate to others just how little scenery is needed to play SA, following some discussion on styx contest post.
The 'proper' set-up that I will be using for games will look much better (I hope!).

I am really looking forward to seeing what everyone puts up for the contest, styx.
Oh, yes!
Would like to see the pentagram too.

Another new member of M.O.O.S.(E).
Timothy Thompson-Gay, youthful adventurer and friend and companion to Fluffy, the faithful terrier.

Timothy is the nephew of Sir Tonley-Gay, Minister of Occult Studies.
Some in the organisation complain that Timothy, or Tim-Thom as he is known to most, is nothing but a spoilt brat, but his results say otherwise.

That brings the numbers in the organisation up to 10 now (including Fluffy!), so I think it is time for another group shot.
Will take one and post it later...
