Ah, 40 ain't so bad mate! I'm 42 in just over a week, and as long as I have a few toy soldiers I am able to keep in touch with my inner child! I've seen adults - don't really fancy being one thanks very much...

 :D

Loving those jam jars, Mason! :)

(For those non-UK residents not aux faix with rhyming slang, jam jar = car :D)

Bert van Dyke ;)

Yep, they add a lot of character to the setting.

Prefer Jim Jams over Jam Jars though
 ;)

Looking forward to getting on this game a lot. I'll have dig out my Cultists robes for added atmos!

Now don't you start... lol

I've copied a load of the roster sheets so we're good to go for Monday. Glad Salute is only a week away as I am really looking forward to picking up whatever suitable (Salutable? ::)) bits I can find for SA.

Well done, Bert, good man!
All set up for Monday, chaps, except for 25 figures sitting waiting for paint to appear on them....
Only kidding, there is plenty ready to get started.

And we wont mention Jim-Jams.......much!
 ;)

Finally got around to getting some pictures taken of the Ghouls.

They are GW Crypt Ghouls that I had picked up cheaply on ebay, that were seeing service in my Mordheim Undead warband. I had ten of them, so they could easily afford to donate a few members to my SA project..
These had been painted some months ago as part of a frantic afternoon of painting where 10 Ghouls and 4 Ghosts were finished inside four hours!
This was necessary as the boys were coming around for a game of Mordheim, and I had left it the last minute to get them done.  ::)

Bearing this in mind they are nothing special, just layers of drybrushing and washes, but they look fine and worthy of moving across to Strange Aeons, needing just a rebasing job to fit in with the other models that have been completed in the last few weeks.

Here they are with their new bases

And a shot of them Lurking in a churchyard on the look out for supper

Hope they pass inspection!

Currently on the painting table are some more Cultists with purple robes, and some Cadets and another Agent for M.O.O.S.(E).....

Indeed, they look very good for a rush job! A bit of drybrushing and a few washes can make a model look very good or at least a good tabletop standard (which is mostly good enough for me to be honest).

Thanks, Mo!
They came out pretty well considering. They do take quite well to this treatment, drybrushing picks up well on these.

I completely agree.
I dont intend getting too bogged down, spending overly long on miniatures.
So long as there are of a decent tabletop standard will do me.
That way the project keeps up the momentum and I wont get distracted.... ::)

(Plus , with the way my eyes are struggling these days, I am pretty happy with the paintjobs of the last few weeks!  ;))

The ghouls are a nice addition. The bases look great and the quickie dry-brush job you described looks great.  :-*
Although they aren't "proper" Lovecraftian ghouls the them of humans devolving into a demi human species is very Lovecraftian.

I'm sill waiting for that bat-rep.  lol
