To be fair to the sculpt, your background is very similar in colour. A neutral grey, like plain newsprint, or a contrasting colour would give a better sense of the mini's proportions.

I'm not sure it looks bad at all.

The thinness/awkwardness of the legs could be covered by extending the bottom of coat down past his arse.

Still - great work mate. Much improvement there form the earlier works.

Cheers, mate.
I was thinking of bulking out the strides as I am happy with the coat.

The Big Guy looks COOL...& he's dressed for it. I rather like the legs as they are; re, while most mini makers seem to strive for perfect proportions, most people are not built that way. GREAT WORK!

Thanks, Al!
My thinking exactly.
 :D

I thought I had destroyed all the negatives...

Also, I have a beard. A really nice one. Just like my avatar.  ::)

 lol
No beard on this fella, mate.
You are safe.
For now..... ;)

I think it's the left leg that catches the eye, but I agree with Al, it's a nice touch and helps give the figure character. Unless there is a strength issue with it and the legs are proportional to each other I'd be sorely tempted to keep it.

Thanks, Steve.
There is no issue with strength and I do not think the different tones of putty help with the impression that that gives...
I based it on someone who I know who has a larger upper half but fairly skinny legs,
 ;)

I think I will keep them as they are.
I can always making a squatter figure later.....oh, I have already started one that fits that description.
As well as one that fits Peabody's description above... ;)

I took the picture in colour and changed it to B+W to make it easier to see.

I am going to leave it, though, as I like it.
If you do too, that is a bonus!

One thing I will say, keep up this sculpting malarkey as each new batch suggests that you have a knack for it. I very much like the fact that your sculpts resemble people you might know (or people one might know to put it the posh way). It could be Blind Beggar's thing!

I did find Sa fun. Playing as the agents vs the cultists felt like space marines vs IG because when i lost a soldier i felt it but when you lost a simple cultist it didn't matter because they were only a point a piece.

The games only get harder after the third scenario. Has he met a maniac with a teddy yet?  :D

I miss SA

What's that? Did someone say WWW2 with SA rules?

Dude you both lost me and scared me with this teddy talk, a teddy bear in anything is bad news. It does not help me fight zombies and i don't think it will help me here.
I did feel the game getting harder after the first game. It all went down hill after first game.

I think the legs look good, I wouldn't do anything to them they look very natural, he has the posture and shape of some of the big old builders I know, the ones that are down the pub much too much working out the old beer gut, knees and back a bit shot, but physically still very strong, tough old birds, look at the size of those hands!

That's what your new sculpt reminded me of instantly, brilliant mate!

I am trying different things each time I sculpt a new miniature so I am learning all the time.
I would rather try different anatomy types rather than go for the 'norm' every time as I think it adds character.

Glad that you enjoyed it, mate.
It still hurts to lose a Cultist, but there are always more easily-led souls to recruit from.

You will meet the Maniac with the Teddy soon enough!
Then you will understand the FEAR!

It is supposed to get harder, mate.
I did warn you of that.
Didn't I.....?

I think your approach is what I would try and do were I in a position to get off my arse and do it! I'm really enjoying watching your skills develop. I can't wait to see the other agents. You will save some time for more Hooded Ones, won't you? I REALLY want at least one more variant!

As for Hooded Ones: I have plans for two or three more of those particular gribblies.
I will start on those after I have finished the next four Agents, which are all in various stages of completeness at the moment.

I shall not be able to continue with any putty-pushing until I go back to work next week.

I finally got around to painting one of my Cultists, the rather expensively attired Cult leader to be precise.
I wanted to get her done for the Post-Apocalypse Painting Club as I can see  several uses for them, with Post-Apoc being one of them.

Here she is....Mary Krimbow.

Hopefully I can get some paint on some of the others soon.....

Wait...isn't that the coat the hero stole in American Werewolf in London?
That aside, the Oh-So-Chic Lady looks LOVELY...nice brushwork & basing. VERY WELL DONE!

I have had the Lady waiting for paint for about three weeks now, so I have been a little tardy.... ::)

Thanks, Mike.
I am happy with how she turned out....eventually.

But I would like to take this opportunity to tell you that she certainly did not steal that coat from anyone!
 :o

I am hoping that it wont take quite so long to get the next one painted up....

But could not make the sickle yield."
