A relevant point may be that the Moscow Metro is very deep underground - much more so than the Paris Metro or the London Underground, for example.  That might affect survival prospects.

I love the idea of a "Russian Metro" - underground tunnels running all the way from St Petersburg to Vladivostock!  Try modelling that in 28mm.
