Late Roman Infantry
« on: June 17, 2012, 10:45:37 PM »
A shot of the Anglevarii Auxilia Palatina that I finished for my slowly growing Eastern Late Roman Impetus army. The base is a combination of Musketeer Miniatures Late Romans and Westwind Miniatures' Death of Arthur vignette. I have a few more shots on my blog. The shield transfers are from Little Big Men Studios.

Very nice, very atmospheric. The two manufacturers seem to mix well together. Lovely paintjobs too.

Nice work there, based for Impetus?

Bill has some cracking greens for late Roman cavalry on his blog.

Thanks everyone!  I appreciate the feedback.

I agree, the two ranges fit together perfectly.

Yes, they are based for Impetus.  One of these days I'll get an army complete!  I saw those cavalry figures on his blog, one of the reasons I knocked this base out!  It'd been staring at me for a while.

What a great use of the vignette, and nicely painted, too. The new Musketeer Cavalry is a must have I´m afraid.

Thank Hazel, I am pumped for the Musketeer Cavalry!   :-* :-* It's going to really galvanize me to complete my Impetus armies (I need to have an opponent - Visigoths or Sassanids, haven't decided which ones).

Nice base and good composition.

As already mention the two ranges go really well together, so much so that I wouldn't have guessed they were from different manufacturers unless you'd mentioned it.
