All of the painting is great, but the brass on the curly horn-a-me-gig and the dragons heads is particularly stunning.

Beautiful work! I've liked the looks of the Khurasan Late Romans, but have never been sure of the "advancing at trail arms" posing of the line infantry. However, they do look good ... do you think it's possible to swing the shields around to the front and base them shoulder-to-shoulder in a tight shieldwall? For this period I base 12-14 figures on a 60mm frontage, in 2 ranks, which has worked well with Splintered Light figures. Do you know how Khurasan fits size-wise versus Splintered Light and Legio Heroica?
