Wow, you guys are really making me feel welcome posting here again.
I appreciate the comments you all took the time to write.

Looks like a GW Lord of the Rings mini to me, like a undead eldar.

I got the mini in question in a evilBay lot deal. I'm not sure myself but GW LOtR seems right to me.

Thanks again so much.

On the desk now are some more old GW and one very interesting miniature I have never seen before.
I think its an old RAFM sculpt.

Thanks Scurv.

Another WIP pic.

All and all, I'm pretty pleased with how they are coming along.
I love the funky rhino man carrying the wizard.
I'm pretty sure its a RAFM Murch sculpt.

The new Folk are LOOKIN' GOOD! That is indeed an Old RAFM Wizard & Ride...I think Cap'n John may have the one I did for him in the Immolating Display Case. GREAT WORK all around!
I'd NEVER join a club that would have me as a member.  G.Marx

I had to work all last weekend and the weekend before that I was out of town, so I haven't got a lot of work done.
First off, I present some more WIPs.

I like some better than others. The Demon on the far right is pissing me off at the moment. All green and he was too boring, so I added some red tints. Now there is too much red. Grrrrr!

Dynamic shot washed out by the sunlight.

I started messing about with some non-metallic metals on a couple of these.

And next...
"How not to build Dungeon Tiles."

I made these out of cardboard. Each one is 9 inches by 9 inches. I want to make some proper foam ones, but these were just a tester. They assembled quick, easy and cheap.

As you can see, there are some interesting combinations. I should have made a starter Tile and a final "Boss" tile too. The plan was to hand paint some cobble stone after I sprayed them with textured spray paint.

Unfortunately, I decided to cover the cardboard edges with masking tape. This process was pretty time consuming and took longer that cutting out the tiles in the first place. After I sprayed the tiles, the masking tape, shrunk and peeled in places leaving an unsightly mess.

They were only meant to be a trial run for fancy foam boards anyways. It still would have been nice if they looked half way decent though. I doubt I will bother painting them now. At least they only cost me half a can of textured spray paint as the tape and cardboard I had laying around the house.

Oh well,
 :D

Nice progress work on a lovely selection of great sculpts.
 :-*

(Are they from that hoard that you managed to pick up a while ago?)

As for the dungeon tiles: Why not just fix the foam on top of the thicker card and just add some glue and sand mix over the join?
It seems a shame to waste the progress that you have already made.
 ;)

As always aggro, your subtle hues are awe inspiring.  8)

The pink bits look alright to me :D

BEAUTIFULLY DONE once more! I enjoy you muted colors although I tend toward the garish myself.

Thank you everyone.
I appreciate the inspirational comments.
 :D

Mason- I will probably do something with the tiles eventually. Again, they were only meant to be temporary in the first place. I wanted to see how they fit together and if 9 X 9 worked out to be a nice size.

Great stuff! I really like the red/green demon. Judging by the photos, I'd say you've balanced the two colours nicely.

What a great thread! Lovely painting and interesting models; I'll be following this for certain!

I'd never seen that RAFM wizard being carried in a chair before (code 2001e, according to the lost minis wiki), but now I really want it! Anyone have a spare?  :D

Thanks Hobgoblin and Mister Rab!

That's cool you found the mini Mister Rab.
I remember seeing some RAFM catalogs back in the day, but I didn't remember that mini.

Oh and Mason, only two of those are from that big lot I scored. Almost all of them were either sold or have been painted at this point.
