hi guys,

just finished my first platoon of American WW2 infantry. These models are produced by Wargames Factory and are hard plastic 28mm. There's 30 figures in the box

now I'm probably going to branded as a heretic but I'm going to say it anyway. These particular models are as good as any of the Perry plastic sets ( I own several of them so I can tell)

The detail is crisp, the parts go together without effort. the poses are great. The hands and weapons are one piece, ensuring a very realistic grip.

I tried to go for a realistic look so no highlighting, just base colors and Army Painter dark tone afterwards. Also put a little more effort into the bases. I'm quite pleased. Hope you like them

They look great, the lighting was a bit whitewashed the last shot gave the best detail. Love to see more!

been wondering about these for a while, glad to see some decent pics of them, may be worth actually picking some up, are they scaled as 28mm or would they fit in with Secrets of The Third Reich minis from Westwind ?

@ the Shadow. I\ve had a look at the Westwind figures. I'm not really sure if both ranges are compatible. The WF Americans are 28mm true scale. So realistic proportions. From what I can tell, the Westwind figures are bulkier, especially the weapons

I bought a packet to use as a source of spares and couldn't resist making one or two up. They are to my considerable surprise, really nice and well detailed figures. Tis a pity they combined the M43 field jacket with gaiters but that aside they are well worth the price.

A faily simple paintjob, but I like em... especially the nice little touch with the different coloured flowers on the bases.

thanks for the extra pics, was a bit dubious of wargames factory stuff but they seem to of really improved, can see why Wyrd are using them for plastics now along with that bloody massive robot kickstarter from dreamforge !!

Those are nice paintjobs, simple but effective. Seems cruel to point out that the jackets aren't the right colour. The M1943 jacket was an olive drab colour, unlike it's 1941 predecessor. (Sorry, I'm a button counter)

ah I see. I'm no expert on the matter. thanks for the info. unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about it now
