Love "early colonial" games.  I'm particularly interested in Portugeuse forces in early Africa and Brazil.

Okay, with the new Congo book out now I am kind off hooked in the heart of africa again.

And painted up some minis.
Ruga-ruga...you have to love these copplestone stuff.... :-*

The Congo rules required quite a bit of miniatures so I will stay with T&T for now....:)

Cheers,
Don

LoL
...but with youre output in painted miniatures you should be able to have enough minis for Congo in a week or so ?  :)

But thanks for being so loyal to T&T Don

Anyway ....I think I have to get me a Congo rulesbook too. It looks promising.

Yes you do. Some of the most characterful minis ever made as far as I'm concerned. Those Ruga-Ruga are wonderful. Great painting as usual.  :)

Looking good.  I like the Foundry "Teddy" figure as a German Officer too.

Here is a new faction for my ongoing multiplayer games...
...the crew of HMS Argus.

Again for T&T small units, pretty much as driscoles suggested it originally.

Captain Cutter, Hero
4 sailors, Trianed, inkl. Leader Mr. Barnes
3 sailors, trained
2 stokers (hope this is the right term), trained
Midshipman Fox

I painted the sailors with different outfits, so one could tell them easier apart....;)

Cheers,
Don

They look brilliant. I am glad I could help you....but I feel guilty too....
For how many years Iam promising to write something official for T&T small units ?
4, 5 or 6 years ?

Sorry mate.

Thanx, Björn.

We had a few losely narrative connected games in the last weeks with T&T small units. And they worked pretty well...lots of fun... :)

Just to give you folkes a few impressions, here are a few bits of the "campaign".

Map of the area, where the different factions are starting their adventure...

And a few game shots of the last weeks. Sorry no AAR.

First game we played. 4 players with one game master...
Over all goal was to get the old steamer working again to get upstream...

Second game, more or less the same scenario with different players. This time 3 players.

Different expeditions fight it out.

Lots of encounter markers are to be resolved.

In the end a lot of chaos from the encounter markers like wild animals and scavvy natives roam throu the expeditions. Great fun... 8)

And the game we played out tonight....

Players where asked to get in the great old wall in the middle of the table...while grabbing all kinds of gods, like ivory and crates.

Focus point was the great ancient wall...

So far we had a great time being back in Darkest Africa... ;)

Cheers,
Don
