Thanks guys.

V-02 gets it's cross bar, a tricky little piece. The plastistrip is too thick for bending, I briefly considered thinner and laminating it, in the end I did this thickness but added a little milliput to the inside corner. I let it set and then shaped it with the wrong end of a file to give an inside curve. None of this can be seen in the photo...

Slatting on V-05 the short uprights at the rear are not that well fixed, luckily there's tons of stowage to follow which will make all stronger.

Slatting on V-04, although this has a canvas top there is slatting underneath that. Had to make sure the slatting was far enough away from the vehicle edge to allow for this, and do similar to V-05 to make them look similar.

Thanks.

Needed a couple of bits, so made a motorbike helmeted head and a rolled karrimat. The head needs tidying and the roll is for the bottom of rucksacks.

Found a figure for the reporter, put a helmet on, ebay flak vest, pen in his hand

and a pad in his other hand

Also put TAG helmets on the recon marines who started off with boonie hats.

Exactly. When I first saw it, I thought - Ah, a scratchbuild but you wrote" ebay flak vest" so I thought you found a source on ebay.

Ahhh, okay. In the first episode a couple of Marines help the reporter get his kit sorted including a ropey looking flak jacket, they ask him where he got it from and he answers "ebay".  ;)

I highly recommend it, ranges from touching and quite sad to hilarious in places. Based on a book by Evan Wright who was an embedded journalist for Rolling Stone. It's not only masterful as part of the genre but also as a film/mini-series in it's own right.
