Yes... We would need to invest in about 400 more archers  :D

Just like the real wars, norf v saaaf. I would hate to have to ravage the midlands en route to turn such a beautiful village into a pin cushion. Hell, that sounds like fighting talk! It could escalate into a (cpt) blood feud!

The arrows are all hacked up from the clusters of fours on the command sprue from the Perry WotR infantry set.

Oh, my God! And does it mean that you painted every single miniature? I'm gonna cry...  :'(

Thanks Rutiguer. The archers are only half the force. I have the same again in bill men and men at arms (including a few mounted). And yes, all painted by the same obsessed lunatic. Sad thing is I'm only just over half way towards my goal.

Wow. Such a lot of figures! And brilliantly painted, too!  :o
I wouldn't even come close to painting so many figures in my entire life.  ::)

Tremendous stuff!!

And with that standard of brushwork you're heading for a 10 out of 10  8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

I simply love 'em.

BTW, where up north do you play?

Darrell.

Thanks Darrell. I confess in spite of my fighting talk earlier, I am mainly a painter but plan to stage a serious game once both sides are complete. Nearly all of the retinues I have are based on Lords present at Towton. If your going to aim, aim high. Therefore I will be appealing to this forum for a recommended set of rules to use. And some help in playing. I had hoped I could stage a game at one of the local shows, but I have lots more work to do first. It would be a kind of coming out the wargaming closet! I'm based in Wharfedale, Yorkshire so would of course be commanding the Lancastrians.
