I don't really like the big seam down his torso, but otherwise very nice...and I certainly won't complain at it costing me a mere $10.

It will be done in the Reaper Bones line, so thus fairly light, personally I see this as a boon for shipping..

I'm out of the loop, is Bones plastics or something? If so, this sounds quite good :)

I think it isn't 100% finished.

Yea, it is a soft plastic, ready to paint right out of the package. The new material is cheaper than metal and very easy to convert as well as tough (you can bend arms and such without breaking like metal can). The minis are lighter also that helps with shipping weights.

His wings are supposed to be small, according to Howard :P

I'm not too clued up on Cthulhuness so... oops.

Still looks very nice though. Reaper produce some excellently sculpted miniatures (well, more than some actually)

I'd like to buy it and add a zipper there.

Well, actually in the Cthulhu idol's case, they are described as "rudimentary", which might mean they are not really wings at all but instead some sort of gills or fins. The scaly dragon impression also comes from the brief description of the idol so it's not wrong per se, but the tail is definitely too much:

It does help that it's lightweight but the size is also a killer. No idea how it will be boxed of course but given "the soft plastic" approach I think it might come in one piece?

From what I have seen so far, all the Bones stuff is no-assembly, open blister/box and ready to paint without primer if you want....I still like to primer but not critical from what I read online when people tested the claim. I am happy with a good sized, cost effective Cthulu that looks decent. I don't  have to have a master artizan done figure that I will use a few times and display more than likely. I think Reaper is slowly carving into a nitche markert.

I've asked the question to Reaper during the KS campaign and the answer was that "it was too soon to tell but that larger models might indeed need assembly..."
A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://www.kingdomtitans.ca/us/

... Aye.  The body looks like a Halloween costume bodged out of bin-liners.

Dunno about the 'yoo-hoo!' pose, either.

It looks like there was one sculptor for the head and another for the body. Not a bad thing, just... two different feels to it.

Every time I see these topic titles, I read "bones" as a verb.

Many of them sound like B-movies.
