A montage of the sculpts by my new sculptor, Brian Cooke. I'm currently getting him to work on a further two survivors/special police unit figures. If everything goes well, they'll all get on a master mold in four to five weeks. Our goal for release is on, or just before Historicon. Potentially with some more pieces for the modular crab.

(....maybe some cybernetic bits...chainsaw arm....)

Is that the crab thing... from that recent movie?  :)

Those look rather nice! I might get some of those crabs for Retro SF games.

NOTE: I moved this and the other topic from the T&T board to the Future Wars board because, frankly, I failed to see any immediate connection to our rules.

If you're talking Clover Field; no. If you're talking any other movie.....um, the only movie I've seen in a theatre in the last 6+ months was 10k BC. :)

It's just something I wanted that'd fit with my undersea suits, and with lostworld type stuff.

Oh, I'm sorry, I thought that was the announcement area for the whole of Lead Adventure Forum. I apologize! No wonder my other thread didn't get much notice...

You must have hit the wrong button, as the announcement board is the one above the one you posted in.  :)

Love the crab. I really want one the size of a tank, though!

As a teenager I loved the trashy and lurid Guy N. Smith crabs books (set in Wales, if memory serves). Would be great to field an army of them against my Doctor Who UNIT troops in a battle on the Welsh coast.

The problem was Triumph and Tragedy just seemed like such a natural name for an announcements forum. :)

@Plynkes: The plan is to eventually do a number of variants of this size of crab, and some different sizes. Maybe a swarm base, and a big one. Like this:

OR

We'll see how things turn out.

And when we get around to some zombies, I plan on doing different ones than you normally see. Like fat zombies, hobo zombies, granny zombie and so on.

Don't worry, I can see myself getting some even if you don't get around to making bigger ones.

Very nice castings.

I can't help but think a Marylander with a bucket of iced beer (sorry folks cheap US beer iced cold really is best here) and some Old Bay seasoning....

would cause the Crab to morale check against panic due to terrifying foe.

I'll need to buy some crabs I guess.......

hmmmm never mind.

Those not STARS are brilliant.  Plus saves me from getting them sculpted myself.  Now you just need a Wesker and Barry.  Is a Tyrant, Licker, and a Hunter too much to ask!  :)

I have so many uses for these!!

Thanks for the comments everyone.

You'll be able to get these from Recreational Conflict in the States. (Lead Bones is the name of our minis line) We haven't talked to anyone about carrying these yet, especially since we haven't even established pricing or anything as they're still at least a month or so out and our first experience in production. :)

@Deathwing: The not-STARS line will be about 7-8 figures and include most of the main characters from the group. Those two will probably be in the second wave. A Chris and Rebecca are in the works for the initial release.

As for the monsters... Brian's a little nervous about crossing a boundary with those, these guys can be generic enough, but the monsters are a little more iconic. I'll see what I can do. It's not like other video games haven't stolen most of R.E.'s style outright anyway. :)

@Synflood: The crab is almost life sized for the smaller varieties. I'm sure with the right paint job you could pull a nice april fools on some seafood or aquarium aficionado. :)

Ha! Thinking the same thing! One terrified monster crab running for its life! Kinda like the scene of the impoverished village in Dragonheart.

In fact I would get a couple to use in my Pirate RPG.
