I have filled my boots, so to speak:

1. Officers Mounted* and on foot
2. 20 Infantry plus buglars/standard bearers
3. 10 Dare to Die troops
4. 10 Assault troops
5. 9 Cavalry (* one mounted Officer to go with these)
6. Executioners
7. HMGs
8. Mortar
9. Light Gun
10. Chinese Bandit Characters

Bolshy and i are doing a POW exchange Siberian Rifles for (Chinese mercenary) White Russians  :D

I may have a few Chinese troop swapsies after i sort things out
"Ho, ho, ho! Well, if it isn't fat stinking billy goat Billy Boy in poison! How art thou, thou globby bottle of cheap, stinking chip oil? Come and get one in the yarbles, if ya have any yarbles, you eunuch jelly thou!"

Yesterday i got about half way through "The Sand Pebbles" [starring Steve McQueen] until real life got in the way.

What a film!!

I must have seen part of this film years and years ago as i have an inkling how it ends [please don't confirm, just incase i'm wrong]

Lots of scope there for scenarios.

I may have to look for some armed US sailors figures at some point ...  :)

Those Siberian Rifles are much happier now they are back in the Mother/Father land. They have all got newly issued uniforms and look quite dashing, just have to make sure the bases match the rest of the army:

4 Officers
8 x 10 infantry
2 x 10 snipers
1 x 10 cavalry
2 x light mortars
1 x HMG
plus one or two bits to come.

Such fun.

That's building up nicely John, and some!

Are the Siberians actual snipers or elite infantry? "Marksmen" under STEA perhaps?

Also, does "one or two bits .." include a rather large tank  :o lol

However, and this may be a heresy, those figures are awful. Seriously

Painting has taken a bit of a back-seat recently.

Still, i've managed to get 10 Chinese bandits and 10 WL Infantry painted.

I'm painting batches of 5 figures so may tackle the Copplstone Chinese bandit character pack next with possibly a standard bearer.

This has probably been asked before, who does WL Chinese standards?

Also, thoughts on painting the five-pointed star on the WL Chinese caps? I'm a reasonably neat painter but i'm not sure that my hand is steady enough to risk it. Leave it/paint it white/give it a go on one and over paint grey if i make a hash? Mmm - i may try the latter
