The concept of the game was well received :), but due to my bad design of the opposing forces, the actual game didn't go to well. :(

We're already planning for the next game though, with more attention to the gang design. :D

Remember, remember, the Dalek December
With Paris in ruins and London in ember
In times of the future when fears are abating
Don’t try to forget them, the Daleks are waiting
Quietly planning and scheming and hating…

What an excellent report!

Scenario/team design issues aside, the teams seemed very logical and organic. Nice painting and terrain too.  ;)

Gotta love those little squid baby monsters ;)

The swamp terrain is ace, too.

Thanks for the kind words.  I forgot to mention that the squid thingys were painted for me by Skrapwelder.

Heldrake, yes, the gangs were probably too logical.  I made a change the day of the game to improve the overall campaign storyline, replacing a more shooty cultist gang with the squids.  But as I've found out many times in the past, basing your force on logical or historical-ish reasoning frequently doesn't translate into good game play.

I find that happens all the time.  I used to game a lot of Star Wars and I would always play the 'historically accurate' team and I would always lose to my opponent who didn't mind mixing characters from different movies or cannons.  I'm also weak when it comes to playing the same types of characters as well.

I certainly enjoyed it. Despite Leadfool's "Achilles sulking in his tent" impersonation. Even when I was down to one guy, just trying to get away from the Feds was fun.

The fault lay more with us not running or side well than it did with the way the forces were put together.

That is a great looking game!

Love the minis and scenery.
Those shacks and the still work really well and hit the mark perfectly!

Nice gribblies too.

Playing in the game was fun.  Besides you may think I lost, but my leader survived, ergo I can go home and declae victory.  So what if I go home alone to declare victory.

A very lovely report indeed, especially nice to see in action the old Grenadier miniatures, they really do have lots of charm.

I really, really like your idea (borrowed or original, whichever) about the fog of war. Truly brill. I'm going to give it a go. What distance are you calling "in view"? 10"?

Looks a great game. I like the terrain blinds.

How long did the game take?

I'm torn between Strange Aeons and .45 Adventure rules as the latter seems to let heros stay alive a bit longer.

Lovely report and pics fella. The cultist looks great on the new bases.

The reporters last picture is a nice flavour full touch.

I highly recommend more games... And more reports.... With more pics please  :D
