Hi Dirk and Samy  :)

Mutants absolutely.... I am working on something that is a rare derivative of the infection of which more soon.  The supplement will therefore be constructed to include (current plan):

infected ragers
infected shamblers
part-developed mutants
fully-developed mutant
ICE troopers
advanced weapons
powered transport

The intention is that players can choose to incorporate all, some or any of the additions.

Thus for The Thing type games, it'd be possible to use the core rules with the supplemental tables for mutants, advanced weapons and transport.

I'm still mulling vampires. They will have much in common with the infected - feeding on the living - albeit without the same degradation in thinking/strength..... so it's possible they'll also be in.  Put it this way, I want them to be in.

I previously contemplated and turned against bears, so none planned at the mo, though maybe a polar bear has much in common with the super mutants - feeding on the living - albeit without the spread of virus.... etc.

So, there's much in my head and much on paper....

Ok who mentioned the bears? We'd just got over the last bear situation, it had all died down and we'd moved on and someone goes and brings it up again!  lol

Steve, I'm loving the ideas of The Thing setting and I'm available for assisting (I can hear the groans from here! :D). You are fast developing a seriously cool range of figures!

Years ago Copplestone made a polar bear. I tried to ask him, but he didn't answer me. He is still the king of "unfulfilled wishes in tin". All his ranges are started and suddenly ended without reason. Maybe he will release the polar bear again when we all send him mails....

Ha ha..... The saga of the bear!

After writing that, I went for a run and solved my vampire problem.... So vamps will be in the supplement.

Basically, if you look at the various movies on the SSS "in The Mood" page, the means to play them should be provided (just can't think of a bear hunting  or hunted by bear movie!  lol)

There's actually a movie about two men who crash with a plane and are chased by a blood thirsty bear (not post-apoc) but still in a cold place so your miniatures could be used. I think the movie was called The Edge or something  ;)
