Maybe a "pulp"-thing like the movie from 1951 (The thing from another world)? I painted the some old Copplestones and had also the thing-idea. Sadly Copplestone has not all in the show now.

I may have that on DVD but I don't think I've ever watched it. I hadn't realised there were out of production Copplestone figures?

I think his arctic miniatures (High adventurers) are partly out of production.

Unless I can find Copplestone minis from another source, I dont buy from them.  I boycott any business that charges a % of the order on shipping.  For the EU outside the UK, it's 15% or 3.50, even for 4 minis.  Totally not worth it.  That's one of the reasons, aside from the brilliant theme, that I love Steve's SSS, not only is it a great and novel take on PA gaming, he has perhaps the MOST generous shipping policy of any gaming company I've encountered!

Steve, I just bought Arctic Scavengers the board game and while it's a bit superficial with it's mechanics being more important than the theme (bloody euros!), I find it atmospheric enough

Btw, I know progress has been quiet but have had a few set backs with an unfortunate incident between finger tip and knife blade being the latest  . Waiting for it to knit together so I can resume casting.

I've also backed/pre-ordered Dead Winter: A Crossroad Game. Sure, there are some zombies in it, but they are meant to be a threat, not the enemy
