I did actually have my last Build Something-entry in a cupboard until recently, but added it to my pacific board :)
But I have a Wizard tower (although it's in a box) lol

This is looking really promising.
Crazy, but promising!

Should I have expected anything else considering the title and the author?
Probably not......

I knew that there was a gothenburgian in you deep down, G! Lol
And we do look forward to it! And on a note, the Hammer mini will be used as "Petter-Nicklas Hammarsson", the last of the children at the "Kollo*" at Björkö. Nowadays known as the child cannibal leader, and as far as we can tell, the only one alive that knows the recipe for pickled herring Tjolaholm-style. I always strive to please :D
The title "Herring Jävlar!*" might also tickle you ;)

@Jim
Cheers! I really hope to finish this, and not end up with another wizard tower ;)

I'm very tempted to add the elements from the nude beach. But I'm torn between doing naked zombies, or if it should be a sex crazed cult consistibg of really old people. The first one I got minis for, while the second is extremely tempting with strap-ons on wheel chairs...

*Kollo is an old summer activity when parents in the city dumped their children on a remote island so they would appreciate nature, get new friends and re-enact lord of the flies.

*"Herring Jävlar!" is a reference to the very populaire curse "herrejävlar". It's a well used curse, but it really peaks with a gothenburgian dialect.

lol lol lol lol lol lol lol lol

I am afraid there is a lot of hilarities going on here, passing *right* past the head of our esteemed non-Swedish friends. You compete with Torbjörn in weirdness, Skander!

We immediately begin preparing for the new Post-Archipelagoptic range of miniatures.

Promising start, I’m very curious about the further progress.

If LAF ever turn into a secret esoteric society, I insist our name should be something along the line of 'The Most Elucidated Leadbeaters of the Zomboyed Post-Archipelagoptic Brotherhood'.

Thanks, Paul!
And yes, it might be very much me in this project, which is a relief :D

I know, and it's a bit shame, but in the end, it will be Swedes playing it and they'll get the jokes. Unless they have some Surname-disease, which will probably be very funny for me and embarissing for the other players ;)
I've also decided that everyone should try to talk gothenburgian, and if they forget/fail, they'll get some kind of deduction. Non-Swedish players will instead be encouraged to talk Swenglish...

The comparison with the mad Viking humbles, me so thank you :)

And just for you, and the other Swedes:

I just can't get enough of these! Scientists have proven this to be the ultimate form of humor. Did I mention I lived in Gothenburg a couple of years? I still "accidentaly" deliver these jokes myself every now and then.

All non-gothenburgians participating in Herringjävlar should study "Lame Pun Raccoon" to get into the right mindset.

I love those islands too. I think it is the combination of having everything in one place, being both an island and a house, and being easily defendable (we'll se about that, right?).

Haha!
I'd never!

There's an issue right now though with the deadline. To be honest, I just want to keep building more and more stuff. A giant mutant angler fish, a giant mackerel breaking the surface as Jaws, fishing nets to get stuck in the propellers and loads of other stuff. Damn!

I'm still thinking about how I should do the Danes. While the first thing I think of is the kitchen staff from "Riket", it might be a bit non-pc to do them. All I know is that they'll be named Preben and Jens.

Its' "Riget" and yes, the kitchen staff is certainly pushing it but Oh!, how I'd love to see them in miniature. "Den lille pigen bor i elevatoooooren"

There will be some issues with gameplay though. For example, what the hell are they doing in the archipelago? Looking for Anubis?

I don't profess to understanding much of this thread but it's got nice sail boats, what looks like a very scary island to live on, with great scratchbuilding!  :D
My LAF Gallery is HERE
Minis (foot & mounted) finished in 2024 = 32
(2023 = 151; 2022 = 204; 2021 = 123; 2020 = ???)
