Sinewgrab's quick and dirty entry - irrigation tank on Mars!
« on: December 22, 2012, 04:13:18 PM »
So, while I have limited time for my hobby at the moment, and it is mainly going into prepping for running a game at a convention in May, I thought I would toss in an entry based on an objective I wanted to create.

A very large irrigation tank, filled by a steam-driven well pump.  I started with a cardboard tube and my favorite base, the ubiquitous CD.

I then hotglued planking all the way around it...after filling the bottom with gravel to give some texture to the next step.

And then I put a bunch of bits together to look vaguely like machinery and a steam tank.  Do I think it looks like something that works?  No, but who cares, really.  It will look impressive with paint on it.  I had to wait a while though, because I filled the thing most of the way full with water effects resin.

Now, to paint and send in to the moderator!

Quick AND effective.
I think that it will look great when finished.

Certainly an excellent start.
