So, some extra work has been done. I drilled the whole ship (well, not the whole ship as per say, but all railings and the exterior hull). That took some time. Thankfully it was at the end of Joe Abercrombies lovely book "Red Country", so time flew by!
Here's a shot of some details near the crane (or the ladyshave as Mason calls it

)

The crane has a function, and I hope to switch between a fishing net, and a mini submarine!

I found one on ebay. All was joy, well, until I realised that I have no clue how big an US Cent is... So I ordered two, with the hope of maybe doing one half submerged, and one hanging from the crane. Turned out that it was a lucky buy, since they were tiny. Fortunately, I always follow the plan of cutting stuff in pieces and then see what I can do with the whole thing when I reassemble it.
This is how it looks on the ebay shop:

And this is how it looks after me sawing it to pieces, gluing the two hulls together and than adding a lot of plastic card for the fins and rudder. And the hatchet one need to enters. I also bulked it up a bit. I believe that I, after seeing the pics, need to bulk it a bit further. Not that much, but enough to make it look like a crammy science sub from the 60's.

And here with some extra detailing (I'm doing the whole putty filling in one go in the end for all the elements of this build)

From another angle

Still loads to do. I haven't found a suitable cockpit yet for example
