This is an excellent and inspiring project. I've built my fair share of miniature boats, using cardboard, or styrofoam as the main structure, but I never thought to use a toy! It's brilliant!

The project from beginning to end is inspiring, thanks for posting!

Thank you!
To be honest, it was a lot of work with the saw, but it turned out alright in the end. After half a pack of green stuff to cover up all the miscuts...

Ah, right, well, excellent work on that stuff!

I think though that you would have had a lot more trouble shaping the hull of the boat. It's very difficult to get the right shape, and then to get symmetry. A toy basically solves all of that for you!

Thanks

Check out the Playmobil range. They got plenty of boats! And they usually go for a couple of quids :)

Håller tummarna då!  ;)

Neither, didn't feel I had enough time to do the IDF and PLO like I want to, but I'm planning something big for next year... Lots and lots of helicopters  ;)
I'll do a ww2-thing instead, keep an eye on the ww2-board  :D

Sorry no builds. Instead I've had a couple of days vacation and went to the northern west coast and snapped some pics with my phone. Hence the crooked angles ;)

My wifes family is from this area, that's why I went here. Couldn't be bothered otherwise since it's of the highway and on the way to the middle of nowhere with banjo playing boys in every intersection...

Here's the sea chart. As you can see, it's a lot and a lot of islands and reefs and pretty hard to navigate unless you know the area.
It's a shitty one, but we're in the top right corner.

Here's the entry to the town from the sea.

And here are the inspiration pics.

Silversix, the new photos of your terrain look aweful, it looks so flat and boring. Not as exciting as your last WIP shots. Least all the base colour is done ;) lol lol

Your board looks good mate, I can see your inspiration.

Cheers
Matt
