Hi all,

Just to confirm the .pdf is very much the first cut so that KS supporters can get to grips with the game now.  As the final rules for the new characters and factions are ready they will be added.  The .pdf is very much intended for digital viewing, hence the inclusion of navigable links and so is relatively low resolution.  Optimising resolution will continue as the next phases are in.  In the meantime enjoy the rules and completing your KS survey form.

There are a few typos in the hell division section, but I can tell it's a work in progress.

The rulebook keeps disappearing either by accident or for fixing, so I still have not had a look at it

Yeah, people seem to delete it all the time (probably because they choose to move the file instead of copying it). Anyone can restore it if they know how, but a shared dropbox folder is not the best way to share something with the public. Unfortunately there is no way to set read-only permissions, and the other sharing method supported by dropbox (link-sharing) is much too easy to pirate (but it is still a much better way to do it).

Especially with 600 people of whom the majority (including me) have no clue how that works.
It's not even watermarked so it's easy to share.

Talked to Wendy over email, suggesting Google Drive since that wouldn't require any registration for the users and would keep the  file safe (no risk of users deleting it since the uploader has all the rights). I also suggested using Wargame Vault for the final product.

Wendy said she would tell Andy, who would talk to his brother (the IT guy at WW) later this evening about it if the problems continue.

The rulebook is currently a rough first draft, and is truly more about helping people make up their mind about the faction rules than presenting the final look. The final version will be high-resolution, for those of you (including me) that worried that the pictures and artwork would remain fuzzy.

I own a hardback copy of the original, so I can be patient with the new rules. Folks who are looking at it the first time will probably be less forgiving though. I'm sure they'll get it sorted out. :)

Oh, no...I was able to download the book and have a look inside. I meant patient with the quality / editing. For someone who hadn't seen the real book, the fact that all of the images are low res, and that there are some typos and missing images...that might be disconcerting.

I actually thought the Supernatural Branch sounded cool. And since I already have 4 bobbies with clubs painted, it's looking like that will be my first human group for EotD.

So apart from better pictures, the printed book has some additional images and less typos compared to the pdf one? I'm asking about the basic rulebook from the pdf, not the additional stuff that's in the file.
I'm curious cause I'll be writing a review for my site, and I only have the pdf rules.

To be fair its been released to help people make choices for the surveys. Its no the finished product at all and that is stated in loads of places, it would be a bit unfair I think to review it based on this version of the PDF.

I won't write a true review until I play the game, and that will happy most likely in June, after I get the minis. The first few texts will be mostly descriptive - what the game's about, how does the world look like, what are basic rules, what are the factions. I'll remember that the pdf rulebook is not finished, don't worry.
I want to arouse some interest in the game here - as of now I only have one sure opponent...
